question to yourself

1. Is everyone involved, agreed on which puppy to bring home?

2. Will someone be at home with the new puppy full time? If not :

....(A) Have you planned for its care in your absence ?
....(B) How long will the puppy be left alone ?
....(C) How will the puppy be housed ?
....(D) Will the puppy be exposed to other pets, etc., during your absence ?

Note: It is not a good idea to expose your new puppy to other pets in your absence.

3. Does everyone in the home know how to properly and consistently handle your new
puppy ?

4. When you travel will your puppy be properly accomodated?

5. Do you have a good and knowledgeable veterinarian who will provide care for your
puppy?

6. Have you considered the economic requirements of providing for your puppy's needs?

7. If this puppy is to be a gift to someone else, do they really want a puppy?

8. Will the new puppy be raised inside the home? If so, how will you "house-train" the
baby ?

9. MOST IMPORTANT- IS EVERYONE INVOLVED PERSONALLY COMMITTED
TO HAVING A NEW PUPPY???
